Nah, highly doubt it. How much leading do you think that 90 year old man actually did? He's been old news for years.

Combine this with what is going on in Yemen, things in Arabia are going to become "interesting"

I'm not sure. Sometimes power is more about the perception of stability rather than the reality of it. I hope I'm wrong, things are screwed up enough right now, the world doesn't need another upheaval at the moment.

As you know i'm an Islam, and in our Quran is written that there will be a time a great arabian King who made the Arabians richer than ever died, and he has 8 sons that fight for the lead for the Arabian kingdom. When that happens, that means the end is near.

And i got some feeling that i think that king is the recently departed King Abdullah.

I was actually hoping to hear from you, I remember you saying you have family there. I'm not the slightest bit familiar with Islamic prophecy, so that information is an interesting bit of news to me. I do hope that it is not a bit of self-fulfilling prophecy though.

I'm rather a big fan of living, and pretty sure that I've upset whatever higher powers that be on a regular basis. I did however, grow up in a very religious family hearing all about Christian prophecies as well, so I understand the power they have over people's perceptions of events, even if they do not come true. Tell me more though, I would like to hear what is probably going through the minds of everyday people on that side of the world.

The kingdom has a number of serious problems in it. Yes there is abundant oil wealth. The issue is who gets it. The royal family keeps rapidly expanding taking up increasing resources, while the middle class wants reforms, and there is always the threat of extremism growing in the lower classes. They weathered the Arab spring with cash, yet that can only last so long, as their costs are rising exponentially.

Well, everybody is now feared that UAE might ends up in civil war, like quran suggest. And oh, most of the people were believed that the end is near. Like, it feels like the end is about 10-20 years nearer than we actually thought. The feels like "oh god, we might see the end of the world afterall"

I mean, our prophet Muhammad SAW says that one day, at the end of time, the arabian countries will be ruled by an old man. His eyes were small and looks sad, despite he has no problems. His name is Abdullah. And one day when he died, disaster will start sweeping into the world, since three of his eldest son soon will fight to became a king.

And this is a crucial moment. Because, if the son do fight, there will be a civil war between Islam themselves. More specifically, the Syrians (ISIS maybe?) against the Saudis. And Saudis will won because one day it will be lead by a man who has the same name as our prophet, Muhammad bin Abdullah.

At least that's what's written in the book.

Interesting and oddly specific. This may sound ignorant to you, but as I said, I've got no clue about that particular culture, so I have to ask the stupid questions first. Is that part of the reason so many people in that part of the world have names like that? Hoping that their kids may be the one to bring about the end? I personally know 4 people named Abudllah and Muhammed, and know that it is very, very common. I assumed that it's sort of like the name Joe or John in the west, just....regular for the Muslim world? Is there more to it than that?

Well, in saudis, every man has a bin as their middle name. If you read that name "Muhammad Bin Abdullah", that means his name is Muhammad and he's son of Abdullah.

For females, we have binti.

So yeah, we name kids after Muhammad or Abdullah to hope that one day he will behave as good as Muhammad (our prophet) or Abdullah (our prophet's father).

Interesting. I think that may be sort of why in Hispanic cultures they name their kids Jesus. So what is El and Al? I see those names a lot too. Is it a possessive noun or family line designator?

Yeah, maybe.

El and Al is a bit like a nickname. Like for example, Muhammad Al-Amin which means "Muhammad that you can trust"
